31st Union recently closed the books on our Winter 2025 Togetherness Week. These twice-yearly gatherings were borne out of the pandemic and have become a cornerstone of our studio culture, creating opportunities for local and remote employees to meet in person and build relationships. These special events fill our California headquarters with creativity, laughter, and celebration.

Let’s look at some of the top moments from an incredible week.

The kick-off for Togetherness Week always bubbles with excitement and electricity, as colleagues reunite and new team members get the full 31U experience for the first time. We ended the day on Monday with our Team Happiest Hour celebration, a carnival-themed event with a series of fun games and delicious food located around our studio space.

Most of the week was dedicated to focus time and collaboration, allowing us to make meaningful progress on our work. This included a studio-wide playtest, followed by an active full-team discussion. This was our version of Pixar’s “Notes Day”, getting critical feedback from everyone on the team. These moments not only strengthen our projects but also reinforce our culture of trust and shared ownership.

At 31st Union, giving back is one of our guiding principles. Each Togetherness Week includes a special opportunity to support our community. This year, we hosted a charity poker tournament and our team showed up in a big way. Between our donations and a generous match, we raised over $10,000 to benefit those affected by the LA wildfires. We are grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success.

We wrapped up the week by swapping our game controllers for golf clubs with an afternoon at Topgolf. Some of us perfected our swings, while others went all-in on the karaoke setup. Great food, great company, and just the right amount of friendly rivalry made for the perfect sendoff.

Winter 2025 Togetherness Week was a reminder of the power of in-person collaboration and shared experiences. Spending time with so many of our teammates was a true delight, and we left feeling more connected, inspired, and ready for what’s ahead.
